Eight years ago we bought our first
house in Crete - it was in a Latsida, a delightful village with a brilliant
taverna. We renovated and sold our original house and have carried on
renovating ever since. We are pleased to have recently added some beautiful
new-build houses to our site.
Although our selection of houses is small, all our houses are very good buys
whether you are looking for a ruin for renovation, a modernised comfortable
stone house or a new-build with pool. We try to make sure that all purchases
will be as smooth as is possible as the paperwork and legal documents on
our houses are up to date and there are no ‘nasties’ waiting
to pop out of the legal jungle at the last minute i.e. a myriad of relatives
all claiming a share of the property!
We can point you in the direction of very good lawyers and notaries
who will handle your purchase with speed and efficiency and we will
always be on hand to answer queries and ease the buying process. As
long as all relevant paperwork is up to date, buying a house in Crete
can be surprisingly easy. You will need to appoint a Greek Power of
Attorney unless you are willing to stay in Crete throughout the purchase
process. Here again we can find a reliable Greek lawyer who will be
willing to act for you.
